Hello and welcome to my website. My name is Ray. I was born and raised in the City of Senglea, located in Malta's Grand Harbour. Being the youngest, I have 2 sisters and 4 brothers. My father John was an engine fitter and my mother a housewife. In 1986, I left my beautiful homeland and ventured to Canada, where I have been living for the past 20 years.

Malta has a sister island called Gozo (also known as Calypso's Island) with a smaller island in between called Comino. The Maltese Archipelago is situated in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea, just 60 miles south of Sicily. Rich with history, the islands hosted the Knights of St. John for 268 years from 1530 to 1798.

Since I was a child, I was always fascinated by the unknown. Astronomy was my favourite subject. There was never a night when I didn't look up at the stars and wonder "Is anybody else out there?" As I grew older, my interest in Astronomy increased. Equipped with only a pair of small binoculars, I spent hours looking at the rising moon from my bedroom window. The day I discovered Jupiter and its four largest moons, people in my street thought I had won the lottery. The Pleiades star cluster was one of my favourite celestial objects. Observing sunspot activity is something that I enjoy doing to this very day.

Reading about UFOs also became one of my passions. I remember walking well over 6 km from school to home just to save the bus fare. After having saved enough money, I would go to the book store and buy another UFO book to read. Even though I have grown and have my own family, my passion for extra-terrestrial life and alien civilizations is still strong. When SETI@home was launched, it was something that I had been waiting for so I could contribute to my dream that someday we might make contact with an alien race. My passion for the unknown doesn't stop with space and aliens. I love reading about the Lock Ness Monster, Yeti, Bigfoot, Apparitions and other paranormal phenomena. If you guessed that the X-Files is my favourite TV show, then you guessed right. Speaking about TV shows, you might have guessed by now that I am a big Star Trek fan, hence the Star Trek theme of my website. I love sci-fi movies of which I have a large collection.
